Enhancing expertise, sharing knowledge

Driving Knowledge, Growth and Connection

Developing knowledge, skills and talent is an important part of IWMA’s contribution to the wire and cable industry. Through our conferences, seminars, training and educational programmes, we create opportunities for our members to learn from one another, share expertise and stay connected to the latest developments across the sector.

From supporting professional development to opening doors for newcomers and emerging talent, these initiatives help our members grow while strengthening the knowledge, skills and connections that underpin the wider industry.

Supporting rising stars

At IWMA, we’re committed to educating and opening doors for the next generation of industry experts. Through our IWMA Educational Trust Fund and Wire Education Awardee scheme, we provide opportunities and recognition for newcomers and rising stars across the global wire and cable industries.

We actively build educational partnerships with universities worldwide, offering Wire & Cable Education Scholarships to support further training and university study. These scholarships are open for application year-round.

Our IWMA Young Employee of the Year Award is presented each February at our annual industry lunch. In addition, our Wire Education Awardee scheme enables emerging talent to attend the Düsseldorf exhibition for the first time, where they gain exposure to key industry leaders and the latest technical innovations.
