Enhancing expertise, sharing knowledge

We aim to inspire innovation through collaboration, so we’re constantly promoting new technology, education and growth across our industry. As a result, IWMA actively encourages its members to continually expand their knowledge and connections, and to gain new skills and experience.

We organise and host a series of conferences, educational seminars, training opportunities and awards events every year. These industry-wide events are held in different locations around the world, to enable member companies in all countries to attend and benefit from the expert insights and recognition on offer.

Supporting rising stars

At IWMA, we always have one eye on enabling the education of and opening doors for the next generation of experts in our field. We offer opportunities and recognition for newcomers and future rising stars within the global wire and cable industries through both our IWMA Educational Trust Fund and its wire Education Awardee scheme.

We’re always looking to build educational partnerships with universities around the world. Our Wire & Cable Education Scholarships can be used for funding for further training and university courses, for example, and are available to be applied for at any time.

Our IWMA Young Employee of the Year Award is presented in February at our annual industry lunch. Through our wire Education Awardee scheme, we’re able to take rising stars of the industry to Düsseldorf to experience the exhibition for the first time. These newcomers benefit from meeting key influential individuals working within the industry as well as learning about the latest technical innovations.
