A new issue of the ”NIEHOFF Magazine“, the customer magazine of Maschinenfabrik Niehoff, is available now. The main article deals with some results of a pilot project related to the application of the Niehoff Digital Assistant+. At the trade fairs Interwire 2019 and wire Russia 2019, visitors can learn how Niehoff technology makes it possible to monitor machine conditions and process data according to Industry 4.0 with the help of the Niehoff Digital Assistant+.
With regard to these trade fairs, two articles analyse the outlook for the wire and cable industry on the North American and Russian markets.
The exhibits shown by Maschinenfabrik Niehoff and its subsidiary Niehoff Endex North America, Inc. (NENA) at the Interwire 2019 trade show (booth 841) will be the new MSM 83 type rod breakdown machine and the new D 1252 type double twist stranding machine. The MSM 83 complements Niehoff’s MSM 86 for applications where small foot prints are required including replacement of existing machines and inline operation with extruders and platers. The machine is extremely short with a length of only 4.5 m because the drawing capstans are placed on two levels. The D 1252 was designed to excel for stranding and compacting (round and sector) class 2 conductors for energy cables up to 19 wires with a cross-section of up to 120 mm². The machine joins Niehoff’s D series, which will include three large double twist stranders for spool sizes 1250 mm, 1600 mm and 2000 mm, as well as rigid stranders.
