With a proud legacy of continuous growth and commitment from its Czech team, the company marks a remarkable chapter in Pentre’s international story.

Pentre Kovo’s story began in the year 2000, before the enlargement of the EU with the accession of the Eastern European states. This was a key strategic relocation for Pentre, involving the transfer of production from the UK and Denmark.

Pentre believes its customers in Europe recognise how important the capabilities of its Czech company are in providing reel and drum products to a high standard of quality and reliability.

Looking ahead, the company hopes to continue being a leading force, enabling Europe’s wire and cable manufacturers to achieve their ambitious goals.

Mike Seymour, the founder of Pentre Group, recalls “We acquired a business with 10 people repairing steel drums for the local cable maker in Kladno. Today, we are proud to say that the development of the company is a success story, thanks to the continuous effort of the local management and employees – now 50 strong and eager for even greater challenges in the future. Over the last two years, we have supplied 30 countries in Europe and the USA.

The true reason for our success is the people, many of whom have been with us since the start of this journey. I thank them for all their dedication and application over the last 25 years.”
