We’re delighted to announce that applications are now open for the IWMA Wire Education Award 2026 – and we’re inviting IWMA members to nominate one exceptional employee to join us for a unique learning and networking experience at wire Düsseldorf, taking place 13th–17th April 2026.
This award recognises young and emerging talent in the wire and cable industry and provides awardees with a fully-supported opportunity to grow their knowledge, build valuable connections, and experience the international wire exhibition first-hand.
Programme highlights include:
- ✨ Meet & Greet event on arrival with fellow awardees and IWMA board members
- 🎓 Training Fundamentals Tour of wire Düsseldorf, following both ferrous and non-ferrous industry tracks
- 🤝 Attendance at the IWMA networking event
- 🍽 Evening out exploring Düsseldorf’s nightlife and cuisine
- 🎤 Closing presentation and certificate of participation upon completing the full 4 day programme from IWMA and Messe Düsseldorf
Award package includes:
✔ Free entry to wire Düsseldorf 2026
✔ 4 nights’ accommodation (Monday 13th April- Friday 17th April)
✔ Contribution of up to £500 towards flight/travel costs*
✔ Full access to the IWMA itinerary and training sessions
*Flights under the cost of £500 will be booked by the IWMA. Flights over the cost of £500 must be booked by member company and IWMA will reimburse the £500 upon receipt of invoice

Nomination criteria:
- Nominee must be between the ages of 18 – 30
- Must be employed by an IWMA Member Company
- Must be nominated by a senior member of staff
- Must be available to travel and attend the full programme
