Meet the Next Guest Speaker: Sebastian Sheppard

We’re delighted to welcome Sebastian Sheppard, former Engineering Manager at Alpine Formula One, as the next guest speaker for the upcoming IWMA Industry Networking Lunch, UK 2026!

With nearly two decades of experience in high-pressure, high-performance environments, Sebastian is a strategic advisor and business transformation expert who has led teams at the very highest level of engineering and innovation.

Born in Chile, Sebastian began his career as a helicopter pilot in the Royal Navy, later serving in both the Spanish and Chilean navies. After sixteen years of military service, he moved into the private sector, holding senior roles across aerospace and programme management with UTi Worldwide, SONACA, and Airbus, before entering Formula One via Altran.

From 2019, he served as Engineering Manager at Alpine F1, leading over 150 engineers in the design and development of racing cars under intense time constraints – where resilience, precision, and teamwork are non-negotiable.

Today, Sebastian is an advisory board member for GTS Group and Director of Seb Sheppard High Performance Consulting. He is also a sought-after speaker and visiting lecturer, known for blending technical mastery with human empathy, and focusing on psychological safety, sustained excellence, and building high-performing teams across industries.
