The IWMA is delighted to announce that Jooris Eickenbusch of IDEAL-Werk has been named IWMA Young Employee of the Year 2026!

The award was presented last Thursday at the IWMA Industry Networking Lunch, hosted at the iconic Silverstone Museum. Bringing together wire and cable professionals from across the sector, the event provided a fitting stage to celebrate emerging talent and professional excellence.

Jooris joined IDEAL-Werk in August 2015, completing a 3.5-year apprenticeship as an electrician before progressing into the company’s Wire Mesh Welding Systems business unit. As a field service technician operating internationally, he quickly demonstrated both technical competence and professional maturity.

Committed to continuous development, Jooris undertook a dual study programme from 2020 to 2024, successfully qualifying as an electrical engineering technician. His willingness to invest in his own development has mirrored his growing operational responsibilities.

Today, Jooris plays a key role in coordinating integrated service delivery across global operations. His responsibilities include escalation management, structured KPI monitoring, customer communication and cross-functional collaboration between service, manufacturing and sales teams. He has also been instrumental in mentoring colleagues and supporting knowledge transfer within the service department.

Recognised for his leadership potential, Jooris is scheduled to assume leadership of IDEAL-Werk’s Service Department in June 2026 as part of the company’s succession planning – positioning him for an exciting future within the organisation.

The IWMA Young Employee of the Year Award recognises professionals aged 30 or under who demonstrate exceptional commitment, measurable impact and sustained professional growth within an IWMA member company.

By celebrating individuals such as Jooris, IWMA continues to reinforce the importance of developing young talent and supporting future industry leaders.

Congratulations to Jooris on this outstanding achievement!

Applications for the 2027 IWMA Young Employee of the Year Award will open in October 2026- keep an eye out at iwma.org/news for more details.
