NIEHOFF Magazine 1/2026 is available now
Maschinenfabrik Niehoff, an international manufacturer of machinery for the wire and cable industry, has released a new edition of its NIEHOFF Magazine. This issue of the customer magazine has been published in connection with the 75th anniversary of Niehoff. A common theme throughout the company’s history is its close collaboration with leading wire and cable manufacturers, providing consistent innovations for growth in the industry. Examples of this were recently presented at wire 2026, the leading international trade fair for the wire and cable industry, in Düsseldorf.
The magazine offers fascinating technical insights into Niehoff´s exhibits at the wire 2026 trade fair. In the Innovation Cube at the booth, the new generation of multiwire drawing machines for copper and aluminium wires was presented
These are the new MMM 103, MMH 113 and MMH 133 types, alongside the new RM 163 and RM 203 resistance annealers. The presentation of innovations within the Niehoff Lifecycle+ service package also generated great interest among visitors to the Innovation Cube.
Several new features were showcased on the BMV 16 and BMV 24 rotary braiding machines. For example, the BMV 16, which has 16 bobbin carriers, was demonstrated with a new, fully automated bobbin supply system. This comprises an automated guided vehicle (AGV) and a robot system, ensuring a seamless and efficient process. As a result, loading and unloading are automated, reducing manual handling and boosting productivity. In addition, the first BMV 24 braider with the WTC (Wire Tension Control) system was presented. This system ensures that all braiding wires are applied to the product under uniform tension, form full to empty bobbin, resulting in consistently high product quality and perfect shielding, which can be documented.
The NPS double spooler type SV 403 D, was displayed featuring three additional innovations: The spooler operates reliably at a maximum production speed of 2,400 m/min and can also carry out changeover from full to empty spools at this speed. It is now combined with an extended U-shaped conveyor system (5+1+5) and a labelling unit which marks the filled spools, wrapped in film at the bottom, with a barcode, QR code or RFID tag. The range of new features is completed by a sorting unit for defective reels.
HFSAB, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Niehoff Group, exhibited the die block of a lead extruder fitted with a semi-automatic centring system.
The expanded NIEHOFF LifeCycle+ service package was also on display. This covers every stage of a machine´s operational life,
from turnkey commissioning and servicing, including the remote service and a ticket system, to procuring of spare and wear parts, and performing overhauls and modernisations. The new webshop displays the availability and the pricing of spare and wear parts and will allow customers to order parts online. Visitors to the Niehoff stand learned how to benefit from the digital service platform, myNIEHOFF, and how the functions of the service package can transform their production.
This issue of NIEHOFF Magazine dedicates seven pages to providing insights into the individual companies of the Niehoff Group, with news from the group concluding the magazine. Niehoff has launched its own production of drawing rollers, its branch plant in Leuterschach, Germany, has opened a new production hall, and the International Wire & Machinery Association (IWMA) has awarded Niehoff for 50 years of IWMA membership.
Published twice a year, NIEHOFF Magazine regularly updates readers on company news, developments, trade fairs, events and much more. The English and German magazine, with a Chinese summary, is also available online.
