In a clear sign of the wire and cable industry’s accelerating digital evolution, two major players – Kris-Tech Wire in the United States and Sonepar Austria – have successfully implemented InnoVites’ cableERP system, designed specifically for the unique operational demands of the sector.
For U.S.based industrial wire manufacturer Kris-Tech, the go-live of cableERP marks a significant milestone in its digital transformation strategy. Partnering with InnoVites, a Netherlands-based provider of industry-specific ERP solutions, Kris-Tech has transitioned to a fully integrated platform offering real-time visibility, enhanced collaboration, and more responsive customer service.
“This system enables us to build a scalable platform with robust features that are continuously updated,” explained Solomon Maricle, Director of IT at Kris-Tech. “It enhances our agility and speed while leveraging wire and cable-focused functionality. We can now better understand and respond to customer needs with confidence.”
The ERP also integrates with Kris-Tech’s CRM, creating a seamless ecosystem that strengthens customer engagement and operational agility. Bob Pagano, Vice President of Finance, highlighted the wider cultural impact: “ERP transformation isn’t just a system upgrade – it’s a commitment to excellence. It challenges you to rethink how you operate, communicate, and deliver value.”
Meanwhile, in Austria, global electrical distributor Sonepar also achieved a successful cableERP go-live following a multi-phase implementation that began in 2023. The rollout involved over 15 customisations to tailor the system to the specific requirements of its Austrian cable business.
“This wasn’t about just plugging in a system,” said Albert Groothedde, CEO of InnoVites. “It was about understanding how Sonepar operates and building something that fits their world. It’s been a collaborative process grounded in trust and precision.”
The newly deployed ERP serves as the central nervous system for Sonepar’s operations – supporting everything from inventory and logistics to finance and customer service. The system provides a single source of truth across teams and regions, significantly improving transparency and speed.
According to the InnoVites project team, the success was due to Sonepar’s openness to reimagine their processes and invest in meaningful change. “ERP projects are about mindset and alignment,” a team member shared. “Sonepar brought all of that to the table.”
Both projects highlight cableERP’s adaptability and strategic value, offering wire and cable businesses a future-ready foundation for growth. In an industry long defined by traditional practices, these examples underscore the rising importance of digital agility and sector-specific innovation.
“These implementations show what’s possible when industry knowledge and modern technology come together,” said Groothedde. “For us at InnoVites, it’s about more than software – it’s about helping companies realise their potential in a fast-changing world.”
