The IWMA is delighted to announce its technical seminar, taking place during wire Southeast Asia 2025 at BITEC, Bangkok, on Thursday 18th September. Delivered in partnership with Messe Düsseldorf Asia, the one-day event will bring together global leaders and innovators for a packed programme of expert insights, technical exploration, and international perspectives.

Under the theme “Connecting Innovation: Driving Growth in the Wire and Cable Industry”, the seminar will explore the latest trends, technologies, and best practices shaping the sector’s future. Open to all exhibition attendees, sessions are designed to support manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, and technical professionals with forward-thinking, practical content.

The speaker programme, currently being finalised, will feature a range of expert presentations covering wire drawing, process automation, materials technology, and sustainable manufacturing. The IWMA is also pleased to confirm participation from CRU Group, a leading provider of business intelligence for the global metals industry, adding valuable market context to the day.

The seminar will also feature regionally focused content, shining a spotlight on the ASEAN nations with valuable updates and emerging trends from across the region. In addition to the technical presentations, the programme will include two expert panel discussions. The first will explore opportunities for growth within the ASEAN wire and cable industry, with contributions from representatives of ASEAN nations and key industry associations. The second panel will broaden the discussion to a global level, as senior leaders from international businesses examine wider trends and challenges shaping the global market.  Both panels will be chaired by Chenfei Wang of CRU.

With an international audience and a shared focus on innovation, the conference promises to foster new connections, encourage collaboration, and support IWMA’s ongoing commitment to education and global knowledge exchange.

The full speaker line-up and schedule will be announced in early September. Keep an eye on the IWMA website and LinkedIn page for the latest updates.
