IWMA is pleased to open nominations for the Young Employee of the Year Award 2027, celebrating outstanding young professionals making a real impact across the wire and cable industry.
The award recognises the next generation of talent within IWMA member companies, shining a spotlight on individuals who are already making a meaningful contribution to their organisation, their team and their own professional development.
Whether they are driving innovation, delivering exceptional work, supporting colleagues and customers, introducing new ideas or contributing to long-term business growth, we want to hear about the young professionals making their mark.
The winner will be announced at the IWMA Industry Networking Lunch, taking place at the iconic Anfield Stadium, Liverpool, UK on Thursday 11 February 2027.
Completed applications must be received by 18 December 2026, with shortlisted candidates announced on 8 January 2027.
Award Criteria
The nominee must demonstrate:
- A significant and sustainable contribution to their organisation, their team and their own performance, aligned with the organisation’s business objectives.
- A commitment to the organisation’s objectives beyond what is typically expected of someone in their role.
- Responsibility for their actions and those working around them, making a clear impact in their area of responsibility.
- A commitment to their own professional development, aligned with the organisation’s performance management processes.
Eligibility
To be considered, nominees must:
- Be a current employee of an IWMA member company.
- Be aged 30 or under within the period 1 January to 31 December 2026.
- Have worked in their organisation for at least 12 months.
- Be nominated for achievements occurring within the period 1 January to 31 December 2026.
Please note: The judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence regarding the winner or nominations will be entered into.
