Dear IWMA Members,
Now that wire Düsseldorf 2026 has come to a close and we have all returned to our normal day-to-day routines, I would like to sincerely thank all of our members for helping to make it such a memorable and successful week for IWMA and for our industry as a whole.
It was a great pleasure to welcome so many of you to the IWMA stand throughout the exhibition. Whether you joined us for a meeting, a lunch, a coffee, or simply stopped by to say hello, it was wonderful to connect with our members face to face once again. These conversations and shared moments are a very important part of what makes exhibitions like wire Düsseldorf so valuable for our association and for the wider industry.
I would also like to thank everyone who joined us for The Great Connection, our IWMA networking event at the CCD. It was a fantastic evening and a real celebration of the strength, warmth and international spirit of our membership. The photographs from the event are now available to view on the IWMA website, and they truly capture what a special occasion it was. Explore the full gallery here!

On a very positive note, we were also really pleased to welcome a strong number of new members during the exhibition – in fact, the highest number we’ve ever signed up at a show. It’s something we’re particularly proud of and reflects the continued efforts around modernising the association and strengthening our overall offer.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our respected industry partners, Messe Düsseldorf, for delivering such an outstanding exhibition – what a wonderful way to celebrate 40 years of wire in Düsseldorf. The scale, quality, energy and international reach of the exhibition once again confirmed why this show remains the leading event for our global industry.

During the exhibition, IWMA was also very proud to launch our new sister association, IFSA, the International Fastener and Spring Association. We have been thrilled with the positive response received during the week and are excited by the potential this new association has for the fastener and spring sectors. I would encourage any members working in this part of the industry, or with customers, suppliers or partners in these sectors, to get involved and help us develop this important new area. As a reminder, IWMA members can join both IWMA and IFSA, and the first year of IFSA membership is free to IWMA members. Become a member today!
I would also like to thank all of the speakers who contributed to our FORUM day programme. The sessions were extremely well received and added real value to the exhibition, offering insight, discussion and wider perspective for attendees. Thank you as well to all members and visitors who joined us there. We very much hope to see the FORUM return in 2028, as we believe it made a strong and meaningful contribution to the week.

As we reflect on the success of wire Düsseldorf, we also look ahead to the next opportunities to come together. IWMA will be at wire China and wire India in full force to support our members, with our stand, on-stand hospitality, networking events, member support and pavilions all playing an important role. These exhibitions matter greatly. Trade fairs remain essential to our industry because they bring people together, create new ideas, strengthen partnerships and help move businesses and the industry forward.
Our industry plays a vital role in the modern world. From electrification and connectivity to infrastructure, manufacturing and global development, wire, cable, fasteners and springs are fundamental to progress. This is why collaboration matters so much. By coming together through exhibitions, associations and shared initiatives, we can continue to strengthen our sector and ensure it remains innovative, connected and forward-looking.
Thank you once again for your continued support, your membership, and your contribution to IWMA. We look forward to seeing many of you again soon.
With warm regards,
Willibert Dautzenberg
Chairman, IWMA
